10 November 2014
Architectural Association, London
After teaching a week-long workshop, Elia Zenghelis, architect, tutor and AA external examiner, will give a lecture at 6pm on Monday night, which is this week's must-see event. Back at the AA to teach for the first time in over 30 years, Zenghelis has engaged 40 students on the topic of The Public Interior for the duration of Open Week. For his lecture, titled On the Road of the Condenser, he will discuss his long and exciting career to date, spanning both practice and academia. In his own words, it will be about "45 years of architectural conjecture."
Also this week, on Tuesday is a lecture and book launch by CJ Lim on the topic of Food City, followed by Vincente Guallart's talk on Barcelona 5.0: The Self-Sufficient City on Thursday evening. This Friday Mark Cousins continues with The Gesture series at 5pm, while at 1pm Brett Steele will give his State of the Association address, initating the discussion and referendum for his re-appointment.
