AA Conversations selects one unmissable event for you to attend this week
16 January 2015 Architectural Association, London   A very belated happy new year to all at the end of the first week of Term 2. The Public Programme for the term began last evening with a terrific lecture and book launch by architect, former AA Diploma Unit Master and author Francesca Hughes on The Architecture of Error: Matter, Measure and the Misadventures of Precision. Francesca talked us through architecture's obsession with precision (often to our detriment) and hinted at the new economy of error that several artists have uncovered that she writes about in her book.   And so the event to attend tonight is the conversation between Edi Rama, Prime Minister of Albania, artists Adrian Paci and Edi Hila, and Beyond Entropy Balkans curators Stefano Rabolli Pansera and Jonida Turani on Potential Monuments of Unrealised Futures. The discussion will open the eponymous exhibition in the AA Gallery, which has transported the Albanian Pavilion at the 14th Venice Architecture Biennale to London. As an opportunity to find out more about the white column lying outside in Bedford Square, the lecture promises to shed light on this intriguing exhibition.   The artists will also give a Membership Gallery Talk on Saturday morning at 11am.   See the Events List to find out more or check the AA website to find out What’s On.
