The penultimate week of term is host to AA Conversations’ favourite event of the year: the Diploma Honours presentations. As the best way to experience a cross-section through the work of the Diploma School through a selection of the very best projects of this academic year, it is exciting on many levels. As students and staff from across the school pack into the Lecture Hall to watch, nervous nominated students chant their presentations under their breath in preparation and the panel of Diploma tutors studiously listen and surreptitiously take notes, while the audience takes bets and whispers rumours about who is in the running to receive the AA’s highest accolade at the end of five years in the Undergraduate School. A day of excitement, fun and conviviality, it is above all a celebration of academic excellence that is not to be missed this Friday from 1pm.
Also this week is the launch of Once Only Only Once by AA graduate Max Moya in the AA Bookshop on Wednesday evening at 6.30pm. And on Friday evening, the AA Night School organises a new book club hosted by Gillian Darley in the Library Dining Room of Sir John Soane’s Museum – to book a ticket (£8) visit the Night School website. Finally, this weekend the AA Interprofessional Studio will hold their final event, Superposition, at the Podium Space in the Architekturzentrum Wien in Vienna.
