AA Conversations selects one unmissable event for you to attend this week
03 November 2014 Architectural Association, London   It may be Open Week but there are still a whole host of events going on around the AA that all sound very exciting. Not to be missed is a lunchtime event on Tuesday, 4th November. Titled Lebbeus Woods: Projecting Realities, it will commemorate the visionary architect Lebbeus Woods a year after his death. Organised by Inter 3 tutors Ricardo de Ostos and Nannette Jackowski, they will be joined in conversation by Didier Faustino (Dip 2), Theodore Spyropoulos (DRL) and Liam Young (Dip 6) to discuss the legacy of Woods’ work.   This event, which is the first in a series on Lebbeus Woods that will continue into Term 2, will occur alongside a week-long workshop with Elia Zenghelis about The Public Interior that will culminate in a final jury next Monday as well as a lecture by Elia that evening. Also this week is the AAXX transcription workshop on Monday to learn more about the amazing achievements of two female AA alumni, Inette Austin-Smith and Jean Symons. The Emergent Technologies and Design programme have organised an Open Lecture on Wednesday afternoon by Jordi Truco and Sylvia Felipe, followed by the next AAActions event that evening. The AA Bookshop will host the launch of the first two books in Adam Caruso and Helen Evans' series: The Limits of Modernism – a Forgotten Generation of European Architects on Thursday evening. And the Night School Run Club continues this week, this time taking on the Southbank on Monday night.   See the Events List to find out more or check the AA website to find out What’s On.
