AA Conversations selects one unmissable event for you to attend this week
TERM 3 WEEK 3 EDIT
9 May 2016 Architectural Association, London   Before Undergraduate Jury Fortnight begins next week, there is a whole host of public programme events this week culminating in Friday's half-day symposium ARE WE HUMAN? -- DESIGN AFTER DESIGN. Organised by Mark Wigley and Beatriz Colomina, curators of the 3rd Istanbul Design Biennial, the symposium is a pre-event to the Biennial with the curators being joined around the table by the exhibition architect Andrés Jaque, some of the London-based Biennial participants and various critics and commentators within architecture to speculate on design as a reflection on the human race and the design of a species.   Also this week is Michael Hansmeyer's lecture on Tools of Imagination, discussing how to harness the digital to construct objects with a resolution at the limits of human perception on Monday evening. Director of Utopia London Tom Cordell is in conversation with the new Creative Director of the National Trust Joseph Watson on Tuesday evening's lecture as part of the AA Collections Talks series. The film Utopia London will be screened on Thursday evening in the AA Cinema at 7.00pm. Also on Thursday evening in the Lecture Hall is Media Studies Tutor Charles Arsène-Henry's Metafiction #1: Flowers of Hypothesis that follows on from his lecture in Term 2 as part of our inaugural Tutor Lecture Series.   See the Events List to find out more or check the AA website to find out What’s On.
