AA Conversations selects one unmissable event for you to attend this week

Don't Take These Drawings Seriously. 1981-87. is a conversation between artist, designer and original member of the collective Memphis, Nathalie Du Pasquier, and graphic designer and Apartamento co-founder Omar Sosa about the eponymous book they produced together of Du Pasquier's drawings. As the unmissable event of this week on Thursday evening, it is a rare opportunity to hear Du Pasquier speak about her work, inspirations and career as well as a chance to get your hands on this beautiful book!
Also this week is the next in the series of AA Collections talks that this year becomes part of the AA XX 100 initiative to celebrate a centenary of women in architecture. This week's lecture by Dr. Katie Lloyd Thomas will look at The New Synthesist: Proprietary Specification, Ripolin and Elizabeth Benjamin’s East Wall (1936) on Tuesday evening at 6.30pm in the AA Lecture Hall. Then on Friday evening, Diploma 1 Unit Master Miraj Ahmed and Kelly Chorpening from Camberwell College of Arts will moderate a discussion between Sally Shaw and Jane Rendell on Site Specifics discussing their recently opened exhibition at Dilston Grove in Southwark Park. The talk will start at 5pm in the Lecture Hall and will be followed by a drinks reception. Then, on Saturday, Members are invited to visit Dilston Grove to view the exhibition Between Thought and Space which features the work of Miraj Ahmed alongside Shin Egashira of Diploma 11 and Theo Lorenz of AAIS.
