AA Conversations selects one unmissable event for you to attend this week
01 June 2015 Architectural Association, London   As the London Festival of Architecture begins this week, the event to attend at the AA is a Gallery Talk by Sam Jacob and Wouter Vanstiphout, the curators of A Clockwork Jerusalem. Organised by Membership on Saturday 6 June from 11am onwards, this is a great opportunity to learn more about the exhibition in situ, following on from Sam Jacob's lecture in Term 1 (A Clockwork Jerusalem: Planning and the British Psyche) when the show was installed at the 14th Venice Architecture Biennale. It's also the last chance to see the exhibition before it is taken down to make way for the annual end of year Projects Review show.   Also this week is the launch of The North Sketch Sequence in the AA Bookshop on Tuesday evening at 6.30pm where the artist Jacob van der Beugel will be in conversation with publisher Joanna Bird to celebrate the largest ceramic installation created in Britain in recent years. Also on Tuesday is the first of two events this week on Drones organised by AA Night School in collaboration with Archiboo. At 8.30am on Tuesday, Paul Raftery will discuss Drones, Time-lapse and Social Media in the New Soft Room, and then on Thursday he will run a workshop on Shooting and Sharing Architecture in 33 First Floor Front at 7pm. Lastly, on Friday evening the Bookshop will host the launch from 6.30pm onwards of t-sa FORUM Vol 5 - Refurbishment which documents the work of Inter 2 Unit Master Takero Shimazaki's visiting school t-sa forum x AA 2014.   See the Events List to find out more or check the AA website to find out What’s On.
